A Skills Evaluator is a person who evaluates psychomotor skills of a student who has taken a Heartsaver® eLearning course. This gives the instructor another option for evaluating and testing the "hands on" skills of the students who have taken a Heartsaver® eLearning course.

Special note:
Those wanting to become a Heartsaver® Skills Evaluator should take the following steps: 

1) Align with an authorized AHA Training Center accepting new Heartsaver® Skills Evaluators. The Training Center must be approved by the AHA National Center Training Center to have Heartsaver® Skills Evaluators. 

2) Have a current course completion card in CPR, AED, and First Aid 

3) Take the online course, Core Course: Skills Evaluator 

4) Attend the Heartsaver® Skills Evaluator Course 

5) Be monitored conducting skills practice and testing sessions for 2 students who’ve completed the Heartsaver® First Aid Online With CPR & AED Part 1 Course. 

6) Register with the AHA Instructor Network (www.ahainstructornetwork.org) in order to receive a Heartsaver® Skills Evaluator Card.
