Updates (latest first):

June 8, 2023

Update as of June 8

AHA Atlas Customer Support is currently experiencing higher than usual call volumes due to the transition to Atlas. We are working to assist customers as quickly as possible. We are aware of the following high volume known issues, and are diligently working on resolutions that we will share with the Training Network as soon as possible:

  1. The Training Center Search feature is not working properly due to an issue with latitude and longitude;
  2. Some AHA Instructors are unable to see their alignment in Atlas due to an incorrect login or an inactive/expired eCard (more information will be provided by email on steps to resolve this); and
  3. Some June Instructor eCards were expired at the beginning of the month instead of the end of the month due an error in migration (we are working on a resolution to correct this).

Thank you for your patience during this transition.

Atlas Migration Timeline & Important Reminders for US AHA Training Network

Dear US AHA Training Network,

AHA is excited to provide you with additional details to prepare you for the upcoming transition of the US AHA Training Network to the Atlas Training and Education platform. Below, you will find the following:

  • A detailed timeline for the transition, including planned website downtime for maintenance and migration of your Training Center information to Atlas
  • Important information about your future Atlas account and login
  • Reminders regarding deadlines for data cleanup and classes in the AHA Instructor Network

Timeline for Transition of the US AHA Training Network to Atlas
Activities to transition to Atlas will begin on Wednesday, May 31, and the US AHA Training Network will be invited to log into their migrated account on June 5. Please see the detailed timeline below, which has also been added in downloadable PDF format to the Atlas Information & Resources webpage.

Timeline for US Training Network Transition to Atlas

IMPORTANT: Please do not log into Atlas or create a new user account in Atlas prior to June 5.
Doing so will result in you having a duplicate account in Atlas after your data is migrated to the new platform. On June 5, the AHA will send a notification to let you know that Atlas is live and inviting you to log in to the system using your former AHA Instructor Network credentials (username, password).

Reminders: Deadlines for Activity in the AHA Instructor Network

We have received questions about whether you may still add or update information in the AHA Instructor Network in preparation for the transition to Atlas. All data cleanup on the AHA Instructor Network must have been completed by May 12, 2023. No new data should be added to the AHA Instructor Network between May 13, and the transition to Atlas on June 5, 2023. On June 5, you will be able to make updates as needed to your information in Atlas.

Reminder: Deadline for Entering Classes in My Courses: May 29, 2023
As part of the upcoming transition to Atlas, we will be introducing a new system for AHA Class Management that will replace the AHA Instructor Network’s My Courses/Find a Course tool. Because the new Atlas Class Management will feature many additional fields of information to help you better manage your training and the student experience, we are not able to transfer data from the AHA Instructor Network My Courses tool for any classes beyond May 29, 2023.

If you currently use the My Courses tool to advertise your classes to the public, please do not enter any new class offerings that will occur after May 29, 2023.

You will continue to receive frequent updates regarding the new functionality, features, and benefits of Atlas through email communications and through our special webpage, the Atlas Information & Resources webpage. Please check back frequently for updates.

Thank you,
American Heart Association

Deadlines Extended for AHA Instructor Network Data Clean-up and My Courses New Class Entry
Please Review Updated Deadlines in Preparation for Atlas Transition this June

Dear US AHA Training Network,

As we prepare for the transition of the US AHA Training Network to the Atlas Training and Education platform, we are pleased to be able to provide you additional time to complete tasks in the AHA Instructor Network that will help ensure a smooth transition for your Training Center this June. Please see updated deadlines below:

New Deadline to Update Data in AHA Instructor Network: May 12, 2023
Training Centers (TCCs and Instructors) now have until Friday, May 12, 2023, to update and download information in the AHA Instructor Network. This action helps ensure that the most accurate and up-to-date information is migrated to the Atlas platform and/or available for you to check once Atlas is live. Any data planned for migration to Atlas that is not updated by your Training Center will transition over to Atlas as is.

For detailed instructions on data clean-up on the AHA Instructor Network, please reference the job aids available at the Atlas Information & Resources webpage.

New Deadline for Entering Classes in My Courses: May 29, 2023

As part of the upcoming transition to Atlas, we will be introducing a new system for AHA Class Management that will replace the AHA Instructor Network’s My Courses/Find a Course tool. Because the new Atlas Class Management will feature many additional fields of information to help you better manage your training and the student experience, we are not able to transfer data from the AHA Instructor Network My Courses tool for any classes beyond May 29, 2023.

If you currently use the My Courses tool to advertise your classes to the public, please do not enter any new class offerings that will occur after May 29, 2023.

To walk you through how to enter new classes in Atlas, we are preparing a video demo/tutorial and job aid that will be followed by opportunities for Q&A via webinar. These tools and more information on webinars will be provided as soon as possible.

You will continue to receive frequent updates regarding the new functionality, features, and benefits of Atlas through email communications and through our special webpage, the Atlas Information & Resources webpage. Please bookmark this page and check back frequently for updates.

Thank you,
American Heart Association

US AHA Training Center Coordinators:

As part of the upcoming transition of the US AHA Training Network from the AHA Instructor Network to the Atlas Training and Education platform, we will be introducing a new system for AHA Class Management. The Atlas Class Management tool is designed to be a full rostering system, rather than a simple, free advertising tool for classes you offer to the public. The new tool will allow AHA Training Centers to manage classes from creation to finalization, creating a more seamless experience for the Training Center, Site, Instructor, and student.

You will learn much more about Atlas Class Management as we get closer to the launch in May, including specific features and benefits, and will be able to reference a demo video illustrating use of the tool. In the meantime, please read the important notices below about the transition from Find a Course to Atlas Class Management.

IMPORTANT: Do Not Enter Classes in My Courses after May 15, 2023

Because the new system will feature many additional fields of information to help you better manage your training and the student experience, we are not able to transfer data from the AHA Instructor Network My Courses tool for any classes beyond May 15, 2023.

If you currently use the My Courses tool to advertise your classes to the public, please do not enter any new class offerings that will occur after May 15, 2023.

To walk you through how to enter new classes in Atlas, we are currently preparing a video demo/tutorial and job aid. We will provide these tools to you in early May, so you are ready to enter new classes in Atlas as soon as the platform is live for the US.

You will continue to receive frequent updates regarding the new functionality, features, and benefits of Atlas through email communications and through our special webpage, the Atlas Information & Resources page. Please share all information about the Atlas transition, in addition to the resources website, with your Instructors.

We look forward to introducing you to the Atlas platform and enhancing your experience managing your Training Center’s needs.

Thank you,
American Heart Association

March 27, 2023

The American Heart Association has just announced they are releasing Atlas, a new platform that will centralize all your training needs in one convenient location!

Here you will have access to all the necessary tools for managing your Training Center, including new benefits and features to be announced in the coming weeks.

Everything you will need to do by May 1, 2023:

Step 1:
As the TCC for your Training Center, you will need to ask your aligned AHA Instructors to update their profile on the AHA Instructor Network. They must ensure their contact information and discipline alignments (both primary and secondary, if applicable) are current.

Please direct your instructors to the Instructor Job Aid: Update Profile on AHA Instructor Network for step-by-step instructions on updating their profile

Step 2:
After these updates are complete, please use the Job Aid to confirm the discipline alignments for your instructors, make any necessary updates, and then download your instructor lists.

For step-by-step instructions, please refer to the TCC Job Aid: Update/Confirm/Download AHA IN Data.
